The Zachry Engineering Education Complex is located on the east side of campus at the intersection of University Drive and Bizzell Street. The 525,000-square-foot, technology-integrated education facility opened in the fall of 2018, after TreanorHL Architects remodeled and expanded the original 1972 building. Ayers Saint Gross and Harrison Kornberg served as associate architects. The new architectural steel-and-glass design includes active gathering areas throughout the building, a green roof garden and the Engineering Quad, which integrates the building into the campus community.
